What's in the Newspaper? Topical Articles from the Norman Transcript
Listed below are Norman Transcript articles that chronicle the history of Norman. A very diligent individual at the Norman Chamber of Commerce clipped newspaper articles daily from the Transcript and pasted them into albums . The collection of albums start in the 1930s and end in the 1970s. As time permits, these very valuable, historic, newspaper clippings will be added to this page in a topical order.
In the early 1950s, the Little River that ran through eastern portions of Norman was considered a good source for water for an expanding city.
